GCP Learning Cohort Present Capstone Solutions

On February 13th, 2019, members of the STS Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Learning Cohort gathered to present their Learning Capstone practical examination solutions. After three months of intensive studying, learners presented highly available WordPress deployments in GCP. Learners configured custom networking and firewall rules, built global load balancers, and designed managed instance groups. The team had to demo their builds to their peers and STS Cloud Engineer, Tony Lutz, who provided feedback based on his client site engagement.

To demonstrate how highly available their builds were, learners had to turn off servers in the build to demonstrate that the site would still show requests. Team members also worked on developing custom container engine apps using python and node.js.

STS was invited by GCP to participate in this unique partner program combining coursework, and hands-on mentorship to encourage continued education and professional development.
